ABOUT PARISH/ SCHOOL/ ORGANIZATION

The Pines Catholic Camp is a retreat and summer camp facility encompassing 130 acres of the East Texas Piney Woods in Big Sandy, Texas. For over 35 years, The Pines has been a welcoming space for campers and visitors to encounter Jesus and deepen their faith through camp activities, prayer experiences, and the glory of God’s creation.

With a firmly Christ-centered and relational approach, The Pines provides a space for the transformation of hearts and an embrace of the Gospel and the Christian life. In moments of peaceful reflection under the canopy of pine trees and in singing grace before meals so loudly that it reverberates through the Dining Hall, we make Christ known to those who gather here. From the quiet of our little St. Francis Chapel to the soaring thrill of the double-zipline, we believe that the Christian life can be lived fully with joy and holiness. It is our mission to see the Kingdom of God come to life through the faith, fun, and friendship that we cultivate at The Pines.
