Description
Do you want to make a difference in Catholic young people’s lives? We are looking for young adults between 18-28 years of age to proclaim the “Good News” to the youth of the Diocese of Charleston as missionaries!
The Diocesan Missionary Team is entering its sixth year of service. Based out of beautiful and historic downtown Charleston, the DMT’s main ministry outreach is leading retreats throughout the diocese. When the DMT is not giving retreats, they will serve at a parish, Catholic high school, or campus ministry in the Charleston area.
The Office of Youth Ministry will provide each DMT member with: a generous stipend, housing, meals, training, community, transportation, and all the support you need to be effective ministers to our youth.
What we ask of each member of the DMT is the following: a strong Catholic faith life, the heart of a servant, the ability to live in community, and the ability to serve from August 2, 2021 to June 11, 2022.
Deadline to submit your application is June 1, 2021 or until spots are filled. Apply today!
About Parish / School / Organization Name
The vision for the Diocesan Missionary Team (DMT) is to reach young people “on the ground” in their parishes and Catholic schools. The DMT will evangelize young people by offering them an opportunity to not only hear about the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ, but to learn and understand the grace of the truth that will set them free. It is the vision of the DMT that once young people have experienced the transformational grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, they will hunger and thirst to go deeper in their own Catholic faith life.
