Mission Partner Development Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

The Mission Partner Development (MPD) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the fundraising activities for Life Teen Missionaries and Camps.  The MPD Coordinator provides ongoing training to help missionaries reach their annual fundraising goal. In addition, the position works with the Advancement Team to develop a relationship with all donors, families, youth ministers, core members, staff, and board members coming through Life Teen Camps in the ongoing effort to provide funding for camp expansion and enhancement projects.

We are currently hiring one full time / full benefits Mission Partner Development Coordinator to be located at either Life Teen Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA or Life Teen Camp Covecrest in Tiger, GA. Housing will be provided, and the person in this position will live in community with other staff and missionaries at the camp.

How you will make an impact at Life Teen:

  • Manage a portfolio of 30-40 full-time missionaries to collectively raise approximately $700,000 annually.
  • Build authentic relationships with missionaries to support them in their fundraising efforts, adapting to the coaching needs of each missionary.
  • Successfully coach missionaries to understand and be motivated by the biblical basis for support raising.
  • Successfully host fundraising training bootcamps for full time missionaries and staff.
  • Systematically provide ongoing training and coaching support during all phases of support raising (training phase, organizing phase, solicitation phase, and follow-up phase).
  • Provide timely progress reports / revenue forecasts on missionary fundraising performance and ongoing monthly check-ins with mission partners.
  • Coordinate camp immersion experiences for high capacity mission partners to experience firsthand the transformation through the camp experience.
  • Coordinate the annual reconciliation reports to the Advancement, Finance, HR, and Missions Teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement Team and Life Teen Camp Staff to identify the ongoing funding needs to enhance quality of facilities, experience, and programming needs at Life Teen Camp Covecrest and Hidden Lake.
  • Strategically engage adult camp participants at Life Teen Camp Covecrest and Hidden Lake during summer camp weeks and on an ongoing basis to retreat groups in order to share the mission, vision, and funding needs at camp.
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement Team to strategize special initiatives to secure funding for camps to expand throughout the country.
  • Develop and create compelling proposals and presentations for full-time missionaries and camp fundraising programs.Coordinate with the Advancement Team to secure 10 qualified
  • couples annually to attend the Life Teen President’s Gathering.
  • Assist Life Teen Camp Covecrest staff in organizing and planning the annual Life Teen Angels Among Us Golf Tournament to raise funds for camp scholarships.
  • Routinely network with youth ministers, core members, and potential mission partners for camps and President’s Gathering.
  • Use wealth research software to identify current and potential major donors for the Advancement Team to identify camp attendees prior to arrival to summer camp.
  • Assist in hosting a four week virtual mission partner retreat for full-time missionaries’ donors during Lent.

  • Recognizes that inviting families to support the mission is more than “getting a donation”and that there is an evangelistic opportunity with donors that invest in the mission to deeply know, love and serve God, through our invitation and monthly follow up.
  • Strong sense of leadership and ability to coach and provide direction to others with the flexibility to adapt to each individual’s unique coaching needs.
  • Ability to be interruptible at all times with a well-developed sense of workflow, time management and prioritization of projects.
  • Proficiency in establishing and building relationships with the ability to be innovative in thanking and journeying with mission partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Organized, efficient and highly communicative over a variety of mediums.
  • Familiarity with the Life Teen Movement and ability to learn and adapt quickly.
