Overview:
Life Teen is seeking a talented, innovative, and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous eye for effective yet elevated design and a strong visual understanding of today’s trends. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visual content for various print and digital mediums. You will work closely with our Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer as well as our Marketing Team to translate concepts into compelling visual designs that effectively communicate our brand message and engage our target audience. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in both print and digital design.

Responsibilities:
Develop visual concepts, graphics, and layouts for digital assets including website graphics, social posts, emails, and digital ads.
Assist in the creation process for new Life Teen printed resources including book covers, postcards, and other printed collateral.
Ensure all designs align with Life Teen’s brand standards and guidelines.
Create visual content that effectively communicates the Life Teen mission and vision.
Support the Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer when necessary for more in-depth design campaigns such as events branding, annual product line, and missionary outreach initiatives.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute compelling creative ideas to new project initiatives.
Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to Creative Director and incorporate feedback into final designs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, skills, and strategies, integrating new resources/techniques where needed.
Be adaptable and able to pivot on a project when new information is discovered.
Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 year’s experience as an in-house Graphic Designer or at an agency (or similar role).
  • Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.)
  • Working Knowledge of additional design software platforms such as Procreate for iPad, Figma.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work including but not limited to, social media campaigns, printed media, layout principles, branding, and typography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with others on a team when necessary.
  • Familiarity with teachings of the Catholic Church and values is highly desirable.

Technical Skills and Creative Abilities:
Typography: Understanding of typefaces, font styling, and text arrangement to enhance readability and visual appeal.
Color Theory: Knowledge of color relationships, palettes, and impact of color on perception.
Layout and Composition: Ability to organize visual elements effectively to create aesthetically pleasing and functional designs.
Digital Design: Skilled in creating digital assets for social media, web, and email marketing campaigns.
Print Design: Understanding of print production processes, including file preparation, print specifications, file formats, and quality control. Additional knowledge of templates and using smart objects preferred.
Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think outside of the box and come up with original, creative solutions to design challenges.

Additional Details:
This listing is for a Full Time on-site position Monday through Friday from our Atlanta, GA office.
Our Atlanta office features an on-site Chapel and coffee bar setup.
