Immaculate Conception Parish in Dardenne Prairie (ICD) is seeking a full time, 40 hours a week youth minister (with salary and benefits) to further the mission of youth evangelization in our parish and to humbly lead and serve the high schoolers of our parish and their parents.
The High School Youth Minister will oversee all efforts of a robust and well-established high school youth ministry and will work in conjunction with our Pastor, Middle School Youth Minister, and the rest of our parish staff to grow the visibility and evangelization efforts of the ministry. Our youth ministry is well supported by our parish, pastor, and staff and benefits from the efforts of having two full-time youth ministers working in conjunction for the advancement of the ministry.
Among primary responsibilities, the High School Youth Minister will: coordinate and develop Magnify on Sundays, 5:00-8:30PM, the current primary youth ministry offering for high school; assist in empowering adults as core members to help them lead the ministry with deep respect and appropriate Christian care for the high schoolers; lead our weekly bible study, Word and Worship, each Thursday from 7-8:30PM; help coordinate yearly Confirmation retreat along with Middle School Youth Minister; maintain a good presence within and connection to local high schools; reach out to and coordinate special evangelization/formation opportunities for parents; coordinate multiple retreats throughout the year including: Pro-Life Pilgrimage, Confirmation retreat, Steubenville Youth Conference, and Fall Retreat, supporting our high school teens on their path of discipleship with Christ through dynamic and appropriate relational ministry.
Our ideal candidate: someone with a heart for young people and a desire to see them grow in holiness; practicing Catholic striving to live out the Gospel message; self-motivated person who can recruit and manage volunteers; able to work well with others; comfortable accepting regular feedback. BA or experience in theology, catechetics, youth ministry, campus ministry, adolescent psychology, or another related field helpful, but not required.
Salary based upon qualifications and experience.
