DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about equipping Catholics with the call to be missionary disciples and restoring hope to communities in need? Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. (CMT) is looking for an individual to oversee the operations of Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. and promote the growth and development of CMT under the oversight of the Board of Directors. The ideal Executive Director will have leadership and supervisory experience, passion for the mission of CMT, integrity, vision, and a strong work ethic.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary is fundraised. Must be fully funded before beginning ministry.
  • Healthcare or other benefits not provided
  • Travel expenses for conferences, training, and mission trips

Responsibilities:

  • Development
  • Strategic planning and sustainability
  • Scout and approve new mission locations
  • Evaluate and implement best practices
  • Fundraising, major donors, and donor retention
  • Marketing and recruitment for new groups and staff members

Finances:

  • Maintain Annual Budget
  • Work with Accountant to prepare and distribute tax documents to w2 employees and 1099 contractors
  • Maintain Donation Records and Mail Annual Tax Receipt Letters
  • Oversee spending of Mission Teams

Supervisory:

  • Run monthly staff meetings
  • Hold weekly accountability meetings with the Director of Development
  • Set quarterly goals with the Director of Marketing and Recruitment
  • Consult with the board to approve new plans, budget requests, and programs
  • Assign tasks to Administrative Assistant and Graphic Designer
  • Meet individually with the Admin Team at least once a week

Qualifications:

  • Passion for mission work, youth ministry, and the Catholic Church
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Long term planning
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with G Suite for Nonprofits or Office Suite, Dubsado or customer relationship management (CRM) software, WordPress, and social media
  • Organizational skills
  • Initiative to work independently
  • Persistence
  • Able to direct others
  • Able to travel for conferences, training, and mission trips
  • Experience in mission work, youth ministry, and non-profit management preferred
