Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating parish Faith Formation and Youth MinistryPrograms (Middle School and High School); Coordinating Sacramental Preparation; Recruit and coordinate volunteers; Implement Safe Environment requirements. Must be organized and have effective communication skills. Organizing and implementing activities on and off-site (i.e. NCYC, Diocesan Conferences, Service Projects). Flexible hours with some travel requirements.
The Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Pensacola, FL seeks a Director of Youth Ministry. This parish of 600 families already has an established “LifeTeen” and “EDGE” Program. The ideal candidate is an evangelist who possesses an engaging love of the Catholic faith and is eager to help the youth of our parish be formed in and share that same faith.
HOW TO APPLY
Qualifications: The Director must be well-formed in the theology and spirituality of the Catholic faith and be passionate about and adept at sharing his/her faith with others. The Director must have a lifestyle reflective of a mature personal spiritual life that is grounded in prayer, frequent reception of the sacraments and personal moral behavior that serves as a strong example to the parish. The Director must have a character that is courteous, efficient, and prudent in all = dealings and situations. The applicant must be a person who works well in community in collaboration with the Parish Staff. The candidate needs to be a self-starter who would take initiative to build up the ministries. A B.A. in Religious Education or Theology with Youth Ministry experience, or equivalent, is desired. This is a Full Time position. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
