The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington’s mission is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the Archdiocese is seeking a Director of Youth Formation at St. Mary of the Mills Parish. St. Mary’s youth formation follows the comprehensive youth ministry model (usccb.org/topics/youth-and-young-adult-ministries/renewing-vision) with the goal of growing committed, missionary disciples.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Director of Youth Formation provides primary leadership for the design, implementation, and evaluation of parish ministry to our middle school and high school youth.
The Director of Youth Formation provides the planning, coordination, and implementation of faith formation and sacramental preparation to young people from 7th through 12th grades.
Recruitment, training, and support of our team of adult volunteers is a crucial part of this ministry.
Administrative tasks and collaborating with parish ministries and programs, such as St. Mary of the Mills School and the Religious Education program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Practicing Catholic in good standing with knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and her
Must be able to dialogue, connect well with young people and families, and have the ability to understand their spiritual needs and current experience.
Must have strong organizational, technological and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry or a related field.
Experience in Campus Ministry or youth ministry.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
