Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Pastor of St. Francis University Parish, the Director of Campus Ministry oversees and directs the Campus Ministry Team, who together will organize and lead activities for Bama Catholic Campus Ministry and invest in the student leaders and participants of our ministry in order to fulfill our mission to find, form, and launch students into lifelong Catholic discipleship and mission. The Director of Campus Ministry will work with an Advisory Board in order to facilitate meaningful relationships between Bama Catholic and its Campus Ministry Partners (donors) and local parishioners in order to ensure the future success and support of our ministry. Additionally, the Director of Campus Ministry will supervise the FOCUS team, meeting regularly with the Team Director (usually bi-weekly) and with the full FOCUS team as needed in order to ensure clarity of vision and serving our students at our greatest capacity.

*The Director of Campus Ministry position works on the cyclical nature of the school year. We experience seasons of a very full schedule during the fall and spring semesters and lighter seasons of work during summer semesters and Spring and Christmas breaks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an institution of higher learning
• Practicing Catholic who is faithful to all teachings of the Catholic Church
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure in a multi-task environment while maintaining a friendly, polite, and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills including ability to communicate electronically
• Basic understanding of social media and public speaking.

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in campus ministry
• 3+ team leadership
• Working with or alongside FOCUS missionaries
• Fundraising and donor development
