Position Summary:

The Assistant Facilities Manager helps create and maintain the Life Teen Camp Covecrest facilities to ensure an environment is present for guests to encounter
Christ. This role is responsible for ensuring that set up and operations of activities are safe and create an environment for teens to encounter Christ.

We are currently hiring one full-time / full benefits Assistant Facilities Manager to be located at Life teen Camp Covecrest in Tiger, GA. Housing will be provided, and the person in this position will live community with other staff and missionaries at the camp.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

• Help develop and implement maintenance procedures for different activities with the Covecrest Facilities Manager.
• Handle general maintenance, repairs, and improvement of all Covecrest facilities, including but not limited to:
• Maintenance of all buildings: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, septic, gutters and roof, exterior maintenance, etc.
• Maintenance of property: grass cutting, line trimming, tree trimming and removal, weeding, mulching, road maintenance, etc.
• Maintenance of vehicles and a variety of small engine tools.
• Manage and maintain the Covecrest water system.
• Develop new outdoor activities that provide opportunities for relational ministry and team building.
• Develop and maintain all ropes courses, ensuring safety and proper certification.
• Help develop improvements and implementation of these improvements to activities.
• Facilitate ropes course activities.
• Maintain maintenance area and maintenance building.
• Prepare camp weekly for all retreat groups, meet their needs during the retreat, and clean up facilities after the retreat has ended.
• Disciple summer service crew maintenance team.
• Help coordinate summer activities training, certification, and facilitating of activities.
• Complete other tasks and projects as needed.
