The Church of St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a full time Coordinator of Youth Ministry for teens in grades six through twelve and young adults. Working with a team of adult volunteers, this position will seek to create a program which is apostolic in vision and missionary in zeal that introduces youth to Christ, leading them into a deeper relationship with Christ and the Eucharist and training them in serving Christ with their lives. This position works closely with the Junior/Senior High Faith Formation Coordinator in implementing a strong and impactful Junior/Senior High Faith Formation program. This position will also collaborate with various other staff members to create opportunities for faith filled experiences that seek to foster discipleship among all its participants by creating interactive activities that enable the youth and young adults to explore the roots of Catholic teaching in Scripture and tradition, the current events and signs of the times to which they respond and how to put faith in action.
A four year degree in Theology or related field. 3-5 years of experience in ministering to youth. Demonstrated experience with developing and delivering teen appropriate talks and programs. Experience in producing engaging, compelling & relevant content for social media and websites. Demonstrated experience recruiting, training and motivating volunteers. Experience with the programs that are aimed at teens like the Life Teen and EDGE programs. Experience in mission work particularly specific to youth engagement. Guitar and/or other musical skills.
St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic parish of 2,900 households providing numerous ministries to our community. Through an engaged staff, along with the support of our many volunteers and parishioners, we serve the community in the areas of Worship, Outreach, Faith Formation and Parish Life along with our preK-8 school.
