Description
We are looking for a practicing Catholic with knowledge of church sacraments for the position of Sacramental Preparation Coordinator. The successful candidate will need strong organization skills, computer skills and the ability to minister within the context of the parish team. This person will continue to develop the existing ministry in the parish with a special concern of adapting the ministry as necessary during this time of pandemic. The primary responsibilities of this position include: lead or coordinate the baptismal preparation sessions for infant baptism, coordinate RCIA adapted for families, liaise with the Catholic schools sacramental preparation and coordinate sacramental preparation for students who do not attend Catholic schools.

St. Joseph Parish in Grande Prairie, AB is quite an parish with a considerably unique situation when it comes to Catholic churches. In a small city that services approximately 100,000 people, there is only one Catholic church, furthermore with 9 publicly funded Catholic schools feeding into our parish. Needless to say we are a pretty busy parish, which means we have a lot going on, and have an awesome team of staff that leads the way. We are hoping to find someone to join our team, and who will journey with our schools and students who are preparing for sacraments.
