About Parish / School / Organization Name
The parishes of the city of St. Augustine, FL including the Cathedral Basilica, St. Anastasia, San Sebastian, Corpus Christi, and Our Lady of Good Counsel are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated youth minister, who has a heart for Jesus. This individual should have a desire to share Christ’s Heart with our youth; leading them into an intentional relationship with the Lord, who empowers young people to live as disciples of Jesus through active participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic Faith Community.
The St. Augustine area provides a unique opportunity for youth ministry. As the first city in the U.S., it boasts the first parish, first Marian shrine, and the start of the missions to the Native Americans at Mission Nombre de Dios. The history and beautiful beaches are a draw for thousands of tourists each year. Because St. Augustine is a small town, we have found that most of the youth of the area parishes know each other. Therefore, we have decided to utilize a cluster youth ministry model. We would like the youth ministry to consist of a combination of city-wide events, single parish events, interparish events, and small groups on a rotating basis. We are seeking a highly qualified candidate and are offering a competitive salary.
Applicants must have some experience in facilitating a dynamic youth ministry program, be able to work collaboratively in a team setting, have experience working with middle and high school youth and possess a sufficient knowledge base in theology & religious education. This position requires flexible work hours including evening and weekend hours.
