An amazing opportunity is opening at The Pines Catholic Camp in Big Sandy, Texas. We’re seeking an exceptional Associate Director of Summer Camp to be a part of our growing mission.
As part of the Associate Director of Summer Camp’s position, the candidate will be leading our staff and campers in our mission: To empower each person through the richness of the Catholic faith, to live joyfully and confidently build the Kingdom of God. For more than 30 years The Pines has been leading thousands of young people closer to Jesus through summer camp and retreats. Under the guidance of the Camp Director, the Associate Director of Summer Camp will be working collaboratively with a team of Associate Directors to use their gifts of creativity and leadership to fulfill our mission while living on camp in an intentional Catholic community.
Qualifications: BA in Religious Education, Theology or related field, experience with camps, youth ministry, building young adults, leadership experience, strong customer service, organization and communication skills. Catholic Camping experience is a plus!
Position Requirements: This extraordinary person is responsible for creating summer programming that facilitates deep encounters with Jesus for our staff and campers. They facilitate the interviewing and hiring of nearly 150 exceptional summer staff. Additionally, they plan the programming and schedule our Advent retreat: Alive Again. This is a full time position and has great responsibility. Their various responsibilities affect our mission to bring souls to encounter Christ and form them to be lifelong disciples.
Compensation: Salary and health benefits, on-site housing with utilities included, vacation, plus two weeks off at Christmas.
