Living Image Living as a Disciple About this Life Night The Gather is a small group balloon game that challenges the teens to put together an image of a saint. The Proclaim explains how our unique identity as sons and daughters of God should inform the way we live our call to discipleship. The Break is a small group reflection that helps the teens look back on their lives and experiences that have marked them. The Send gives an opportunity for a teen to share their testimony, which is followed by a time of praise and worship with a prayer for surrender and empowerment. Goal of This Night The goal of Living Image is for teens to learn to share their story of God’s work in their lives and invest in a life of discipleship. Catechism # 607 Scripture 1 Corinthians 12:20 -31 1 John 2:3 -6 Key Concepts • When we conform our lives to the life of Jesus, we can grow in holiness and goodness. • Living as a disciple of Jesus does not mean we become imitations of someone else but, rather, live our own story by harnessing our God-given gifts. • Complete surrender to God and the security He offers does not happen in an instant, but our continued hope is always in the transformative power of the Gospel.
