Working Together An Edge Night on Society The Edge Night begins with a Gather game where the youth are challenged to guess what song their opponent is singing. The Proclaim teaches the youth about the necessity of society and authority as well as the importance of their participation in society. The Break gives the youth an opportunity to discuss the Proclaim. During the Send the youth get to work together to create their own small group rosary followed by praying a decade of the rosary for those most in need. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to learn about the importance of society and community for the human person as well as the necessity of authority for society to properly function. They will also learn about the importance of their own participation and how their actions affect the whole. (CCC 1880) – The government exists to help everyone to follow the rules and leads society towards the common good of all people. (CCC 1897) – As members of society it is important that we respect the authorities that have been put in place to help us all achieve the common good.
