Uprooted An Edge Night on Fasting About this Night The Edge Night begins with a Gather where the youth and parents watch a funny video about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In the Proclaim, the youth and parents learn about the importance of confession and fasting during Lent and how they help us in our relationship with God. During the Break, the youth and parents have brief small group discussions. The youth and parents come back together for the Send where they have an opportunity to go to confession, as well as to reflect on Scripture verses about fasting. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is to help the youth and parents come to a greater understanding of the significance of fasting during Lent by using the example of an uprooted plant.
