The Finish Line An Edge Social Night About this Night The Edge Night begins with the youth crossing a finish line to enter the room as the Core Team cheers and gives them a gold medal. After a celebratory snack, the youth watch a video that reveals heaven as our finish line. The Proclaim discusses the fact that heaven is our goal and the sacraments, particularly the Sacraments of Healing and the Sacraments at the Service of Communion, help us as we run the race to heaven. During the Break, the youth participate in an activity similar to “The Amazing Race” with their small groups, where they go through different challenges and journey toward the finish line. The Send ends the Edge Night with praise and worship. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to recognize heaven as their goal and learn how the sacraments help them get there — in particular the Sacraments of Healing, and for those called to married life and the priesthood, the Sacraments at the Service of Communion.
