Stand Together An Edge Issue Night on Bullying The Gather begins with a glitter activity that helps the youth consider the power of their words and the permanency of what they say. The Proclaim takes the youth through defining what bullying is, ways they can overcome it, and the importance of standing up for one another, valuing, and loving each other. The Break includes small group discussions as well as an affirmation activity where the youth will print their footprints and write positive messages to each other on a large sheet of butcher paper. The Send ends the Edge Night with praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for all victims of bullying and all bullies. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to come to an understanding of what bullying is, why it is harmful, and how to overcome it.
