Seeing Light Session Two: Forgiveness of Sin About this Night The Gather is a blindfolded trust walk. The Proclaim is a teaching about the power of Jesus’ death and Resurrection, which overcame the darkness of sin and death. The youth will also learn that they can go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation to be forgiven of their sins and brought to new life in Jesus. The Break is a small group discussion about the teaching. The Send provides the youth an opportunity to seek forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Goal of This Night The goal of this session is for the youth to understand that Jesus conquered the darkness of sin once and for all through His death and Resurrection. It will also remind them that they can seek forgiveness for their sins through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. From the very beginning, God had a plan to save us.(CCC 410) • Jesus died to save us from the darkness of sin and death. By His Resurrection, He brings us to new life. • We experience forgiveness for our sins and receive the graces to live in the light of Christ through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
