Rest An Edge Issue Night on Death and Grief The Edge Night begins with a Gather where the youth will reflect on the story of the death of Jesus’ friend Lazarus. This will lead into the Proclaim where the youth will learn more about the nature of suffering and death, that Jesus understands their grief, and ways that they can deal with grief and loss. The Break gives the youth an opportunity to reflect on and pray for their loved ones who have passed away. The Send ends the Edge Night with an upbeat celebration in commemoration of the beautiful lives of all those who have passed away, complete with ice cream sundaes and treats. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is to encourage youth who have experienced loss and grief to deal with with it in light of the Resurrection and hope for heaven.
