Let Your Light Shine An Edge Eighth Grade Send Off About this Edge Night This Edge Night can be used as the last Edge Night of the school year to both honor the 8th grade youth who are leaving and to set up all the youth with ideas to grow in their faith throughout summer break. This is a great night to have the Core Members from Life Teen present to get to know the outgoing 8th graders to help with their transition into Life Teen. Edge will begin with a time for the youth to mingle and play various summer time games. They will then transition into a short talk about the opportunities for evangelization and being the light of Christ in the world during their summer break. There will also be a small part of the Proclaim directed towards the eighth graders who will be moving onto high school. During the Break the 8th grade youth will gather together to discuss their highlights from Edge as well as their feelings towards moving onto high school, while the rest of the youth will do a short discussion followed by creating skits. The Edge Night will end with all the youth praying over and sending forth the 8th grade youth. Goal of This Night The goal of this Edge Night is to provide a time to honor and recognize the 8th grade youth who will be moving on to high school and the Life Teen program, as well as give all the youth practical ideas to keep up their relationship with Christ and their prayer life and as they are sent off into summer time.
