Retreat Session One on the Creation of Humanity

About This Night

The Gather is competitive Creation Tableau. The Proclaim will teach the youth about the perfect beauty, peace, and love in which we were created and to which we are meant to return. The Break is a small group bonding activity creating a group puzzle. The Send includes a praise and worship experience focused on creation and the love and goodness of God.

Goal of This Night

The goal of this session is to establish the foundation for the retreat and the beginning of the story of salvation. The youth will learn that we were created in relationship with God.

• We were created by God in His image and likeness, in a relationship with Him, and in harmony with all of creation.

• Our inmost being longs for this original holiness, the state of perfect beauty, peace, and love with which humanity entered creation.

• We are destined to return to God in heaven and find again the perfect union that our first parents had with Him.
