The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
We are offered a future full of hope. That future, however, will not simply arrive at our doorstep. We must co-labor with Christ as he speaks hope into this world. A future of hope starts with the youth of today. They are tomorrow’s prophets and apostles, developers and doctors, teachers and preachers, athletes and artists, mystics and martyrs. How they are shaped today will be how they shape tomorrow.
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.

As a fifteen-year-old girl, Jesus made His first appearance in my life (or more likely it was me who finally opened my eyes to Him) in adoration at my first Steubenville conference. This life-altering experience was the beginning of my lifelong commitment of faith to Christ. Since then, Jesus has […]

Why does God seem to take forever in answering our prayers? We pray and we pray, and we pray, and we pray, but it’s like He doesn’t even hear us! Must be nice up in those clouds without a care in the world! Is God playing golf up there? Am […]

As an elementary school student, I was a people pleaser and a teacher’s pet. I always wanted to be the first one with the right answer. I thrived with the affirmation that a teacher would give me when I got it right. I covered my desk with the gold stars […]

“Christ the new Adam, in the very revelation of the mystery of the Father and of His love, fully reveals man to himself and brings to light his most high calling” Guadium et Spes, 22 A principal element of the crisis of authentic masculinity is the fact that men, and […]

Saturday night I went to vigil Mass and absorbed the readings and Gospel. I paid close attention to the judgment and disgust the Pharisees had for the “sinful woman” and the mercy and forgiveness Jesus showers on her. I was shocked at the courage this woman had to enter a […]

We all have moments in ministry when we have no idea what to do or how we will manage to get through the situation at hand. I have been in full-time parish ministry for four years and this year has been full of moments where I threw my hands in […]
Our God makes the dead rise. It isn’t an abstract thought or concept. It isn’t a philosophical metaphor. The readings today (1 KGS 17:17-24, GAL 1:11-19, LK 7:11-17) center around one of the defining qualities of God – He breathes life into what was once lifeless. He animates what was still. Our God […]
“There is need for a crusade of manliness and purity to counteract and undo the savage work of those who think that man is a beast. And that crusade is a matter for you.” – St. Josemaria Escriva There is indeed a need to rediscover authentic masculinity because let’s face […]

Congratulations! You’ve survived your BIG Summer Camp/Conference/Mission Trip/Obligatory Summer Youth Ministry Event. The bus has been paid in full; permission slips tucked away in the file cabinet, and that one teen’s sleeping bag is still in your office. Time to kick your feet up and enjoy a few days off […]
Whenever I read the Gospel of the Loaves and Fishes (Luke 9:11-17), I wish I could’ve been one of the more than 5,000 people in the crowd. Being “vertically challenged” myself, I’m not sure what I would’ve seen or heard. This wasn’t a concert. Jesus wasn’t projected on a large […]
