The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
Empower 2021, hosted by Life Teen CIO/Executive VP Mark Hart, offers you NINE practical training sessions that will both inform and inspire your Core Team. Downloadable discussion questions and activities accompany each session, as well, to ensure that your leaders not only see and hear the training but distill it down to practical and foundational steps they can implement within your parish youth ministry programs
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.

I just took down my Christmas tree in my office (yes I put up a Christmas tree in my office) and Ash Wednesday is next week! WHAT? The Girl Scouts haven’t delivered my cookies yet, and I have to start thinking about Stations of the Cross and the CRS Rice […]

Have you ever heard of the old speaking technique of “picture your audience naked?” Yeah, I think it’s not a good idea too, especially if you work with youth. I have never tried this technique frankly because it’s disturbing. When I think about speaking in front of a large crowd […]

I will never forget the first time I received a “college care package” from my youth minister. It was getting close to finals and on my way back from the library I checked the mail at my dorm. “You have a package.” What? A package? No one sends me things. […]
If I were a gambler, I would place a bet on the high percentage of times we hear 1 Corinthians 13 proclaimed at weddings. I have been asked to proclaim this reading at no less than four weddings myself. This reading isn’t popular because it sounds “nice,” but because it […]

The calling started somewhere between wanting to keep Christmas sacred and desiring to grow our family in an ever shrinking house. We wanted to move and improve, but everything centered around the title youth minister can make that hard to achieve. Budgeting is already quite familiar, but student loans, thriving […]
It is Life Support week! Though you thought Christmas was over and you (hopefully) took your tree down, you still have one more package of youth ministry goodness headed your way. The January Life Support shipped last week to all of our subscribing parishes, and we are incredibly excited for […]
There just was no way those religious sisters were going to be on my Core Team. I was adamant and firm in my resolution as I sat in my priest’s office. About a week earlier, we discussed the high number of teens that were entering confirmation preparation (awesome), but the […]

We are so excited for the materials in our newest Life Support shipment to reach your parish, and we are especially excited for our latest series, Sex Positive. Personally, I loved being able to work to create this series because as a teen I had a powerful experience of what […]

The words rolled off my tongue quickly and easily, as they do in probably half a dozen or so conversations a day. I was talking with a youth minister who was worried about why she hadn’t been able to do a better job of building a core team. But it […]
Samuel is one of my favorite characters in scripture. The idea of hearing the voice of God, and not being sure what it really means resonates with me, as does his willingness to answer God with a profound yes. When I was just growing in my spiritual journey, I was […]
