The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
Life Teen’s Catholic Youth Ministry Convention has become America’s premier event for everyone involved in parish youth ministry. Why? Maybe it’s because we are different. We believe in practical, comprehensive youth ministry training. But we don’t think that’s enough. That’s why we incorporate elements of a spiritual retreat into the training convention. Because youth ministry isn’t about what you know, it’s Who you know.
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.

In both the first reading (Numbers 11:25-29) and the Gospel (Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48) jealousy is rearing its ugly head again. In the case of Eldad and Medad (baby names anyone), who didn’t show up for the party at the tent but still received the Spirit, no one believed their […]
Every year, I seem to have a recurring conversation with youth ministers who enter the world of parenthood. Every youth minister desires to be the BEST youth minister they can be, and once you are blessed with a spouse and a son or daughter, the struggle is real to find […]
Jesus had a few issues with the Pharisees, and I think it’s safe to say, they had some issues with Jesus as well. The Pharisees were a religious and highly political party in the time of Christ. Following the letter of the law was of the utmost importance to them […]
“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.” I think the disciples and followers of Christ are a bit confused in the Gospel today. They are fixated more on what Christ […]
“Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.” (John 6:27) For the past eight years, I have been blessed to serve the church through Life Teen. I’m blessed by the relationships I have with […]
Calendaring is tough in youth ministry! And I’m not just talking about balancing your personal calendar with your ministry calendar so you can have a few meals a week with your family. I’m not even addressing the multiple online applications like Google Calendar, Wunderlist, or Any Do that can help […]
“When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.” (Mark 6:34) I don’t know about you, but this week I think I reached the tipping point of […]
“A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house.” Mark 6:4 I am the youngest child in my family. No matter how old I may get, I will always be the youngest. I could write a book that becomes […]
Fr. Duy Le was ordained on June 11, 2011, and was assigned to St. Anne’s in Seal Beach, California. The small beach community welcomed him with open arms and hearts immediately. He served St. Anne’s for the past four years and is facing his first priest reassignment. In between packing […]
I can still remember Sunday afternoons when my dad, exhausted after a long week of work, would be sitting on the couch, enjoying a football or baseball game. He just wanted to rest. I would come up, lay my head on his stomach, and say, “I’m bored.” Being the best […]
