The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
We are offered a future full of hope. That future, however, will not simply arrive at our doorstep. We must co-labor with Christ as he speaks hope into this world. A future of hope starts with the youth of today. They are tomorrow’s prophets and apostles, developers and doctors, teachers and preachers, athletes and artists, mystics and martyrs. How they are shaped today will be how they shape tomorrow.
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.

In my life, I have been blessed to attend a few ordinations, and I have to say, an ordination is hands down my favorite sacrament to witness. I know, I should say it’s a wedding or a baby’s baptism, but they just don’t compare. Witnessing men willingly lie prostrate on a […]
A few years ago, I traveled to Philadelphia for a Theology of the Body course taught by Christopher West. I was both excited and nervous and found myself in a ministry setting where I knew no one, which is a bit strange for me. After the introduction session, I moved […]
Nine years ago, God started inviting me to close doors in ministry. This action, however painful, brought me so much fulfillment. I was involved in multiple diocesan events, on teams for leadership institutes, volunteering for Life Teen as an Area Contact, and serving as a youth minister at a large […]
Have you ever felt out of touch with today’s music on a secular and Christian level? Not sure what is safe to play and what is popular with teens? Are you looking for new worship music for an upcoming retreat or XLT? Well, Life Teen has you covered! We are […]
I don’t think the Pharisees understood the lesson they were about to be schooled in on this day in the temple. Jesus may not have had a chalkboard, but he had the dirt from which we were formed and His finger as chalk. And, He had a lesson to teach. […]
I have one regret from my ten years as a youth minister. His name was Danger.
The other evening, I had the opportunity to worship and celebrate Mass with over 100 young adults in a chapel on the top floor of the Diocese of Orange’s Christ Cathedral “Tower of Hope.” The view was awe-inspiring. To my left, I could see Disneyland, The Anaheim Angels stadium, and […]
We are hearing the buzz and seeing Instagram explode with Merciful, Alive and Dangerous, and, for some youth groups that move faster than a speeding bullet, the (Censored) images. Nevertheless, some of you are taking it slow, using the Life Night Curriculum that is familiar to you, enjoying a little […]
When I first started out as a youth minister, I always felt ill equip: not enough education or training, never enough experience, and I always felt alone in my ministry efforts. I found amidst the pressure of numbers and the inconsistent schedule I could never make enough time for prayer, […]
I just took down my Christmas tree in my office (yes I put up a Christmas tree in my office) and Ash Wednesday is next week! WHAT? The Girl Scouts haven’t delivered my cookies yet, and I have to start thinking about Stations of the Cross and the CRS Rice […]
