Mass, Family, and More!

What’s in Your March 2021 Edge Box?

The new year has begun, and it is off to the races, and so are we. Your brand new Edge Support Box for March 2021 is now live online and on its way to your parish. We are excited to share with you what we’ve been cooking up for this Spring!

In this new box, you will receive our new Semester Planning Guide, Now and Forever. This Semester Planning Guide is all about the Mass and focuses on answering some of the critical questions that middle school youth might have today about the Mass. Such as: Why do I need to go to Mass? Why can’t I just go to my friend’s non-Catholic Christian Church? How is the Mass going to change my life? Especially after a trying year, where the ability to go to Mass has been limited for most of these youth, Now and Forever is designed to help them understand the Mass and the positive impact it has on their lives and the world.

You will also receive our new Small Group Guide focused on the family called Where the Heart Is. Over the past year, middle school youth have spent more time with their families and experienced the joys and difficulties of family life in new ways. This Small Group Guide addresses the plan that God has for the family and His original intention for this community of love while also acknowledging that each and every family unit is very different. Where the Heart Is aims at providing middle school youth with practical tips and encouragement to find healing, peace, and love within their immediate families and the world, no matter the difficulties they may be facing.

Alongside each of these guides, you will receive a USB Drive with some fantastic images to use that coincide with the Semester Planning Guide and Small Group Guides themes. This USB Drive also contains helpful videos for each of the individual sessions that allow you to better prepare for each Edge Night’s central teachings, along with handouts and Parent Letters (in both English and Spanish) to supplement each Edge Night.

To round out your planning for the semester, you will receive a supplemental Issue Night (Zooming Out: An Issue Night on Death) and Social Night (Advocate Adventure: An Edge Social Night) to bring a little change and fun to your middle school group.

But there’s more! You will also be receiving a copy of Ann M. Garrido’s latest book, #Rules_of_Engagement, which shares some powerful insights and habits that will help you align your engagement on social media and the digital world with Gospel values and the call to be Christ’s presence in the world.

As always, and especially in these tricky and challenging times, we are incredibly thankful for all of you who serve middle school youth and for all the work you do. We continually strive to bring you the greatest in ministry resources so together, we can work to bring more youth closer to Christ.

If you have any questions or concerns or want to learn more about the Edge program to introduce it to your parish, please contact us. We are here to serve and support you!
