Life Teen Community

I Joined His Mission Because…

Long story short… Jesus came to earth, lived, died, rose again, and then ascended into heaven. But before He left He commissioned (Matthew 28:20) His apostles to carry on His mission here on earth. And they did. It’s taken lots of different forms in the last 2000 years and most recently (like 30 some years ago) the movement of Life Teen was started as one of God’s missions here on planet earth.

Amazing things have happened through this movement! This year the theme of our Annual Appeal is “His Mission, Our Move” and it got me wondering… why are my fellow co-workers and Life Teen missionaries part of this mission? As a matter of fact… why do I continue on in this ministry? I asked around and wow, their answers were so incredible that I want to share a couple of them with you.

Here’s what they said when I asked everyone to finish this sentence:

“I joined His mission because….”

Spoiler: God won’t give up on anyone. You included.

Because who else could we entrust a movement this massive to? Mary has been guiding Life Teen since day 1 and never lets us down.

Does that look like a face that’s been failed? No. She can tell no lie.

Also figurative. Unfortunately we have no missionaries that can walk on water. Yet.
