The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
A core mission of Life Teen is to equip parishes to do the hard work, the ongoing day-to-day ministry within the lives of teenagers. Supporting parishes often means meeting you in your needs, questions, and struggles with the hope of creating solutions, sharing inspiration, and celebrating this common mission. One of the premier ways we seek to accomplish this is through the Catholic Youth Ministry Convention.
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
The Catholic Teen Bible contains supplementary material to help people understand and navigate Sacred Scripture. The Word of God exists to convict hearts and draw people into the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.

I weighed myself 20 times a day. I allowed myself 100 or 200 calories a day. If I survived the day on 100 calories, I considered it to be a good day. If I had overeaten, which meant 300 calories, I made sure to punish myself the next day by running more miles and eating more meager portions.

There are two kinds of people in this world, the people who struggle with body image and the people who lie about it.

Everywhere you look, there’s an ad, magazine cover, or commercial telling you what the new hotness is in diet secrets and workouts. It can be confusing and honestly . . . how do you know what to believe? Don’t let the smiling, skinny people in the ads convince you; you need someone you can trust. That’s why I asked Dr. John Oertle some questions about diets, weight loss, and how you as a teen should approach your health. He’s an awesome, Catholic doctor who’s passionate about sharing the truth about the wonderful body God gave each of us. Enjoy!

Look for Tommy Openshaw on a Saturday night, and you’ll find him under stadium lights, kicking for Vanderbilt’s football team. Check again on Sunday, however, and you’ll find him at Benton Chapel, joining Vanderbilt’s Catholic community for Mass.

I was a dancer growing up and was told that I needed to lose weight. There were some days when my teacher even told me to skip meals, and I listened.
You are not a powerless victim to the lies of a photoshopped world. Reclaim the meaning of beauty and remind yourself all day every day so you can rewrite your own inner dialogue.

“When you look into the mirror you need to NOT tell yourself that you’re not special, that you’re not pretty, that you’re not good enough.” -Taylor Swift I stumbled across this incredible quote on YouTube. Taylor Swift told this to a crowd of her biggest fans in Manchester. As I […]

The do’s and don’ts of camps and conferences. How to get the most out of your youth group trip.
What is beauty? And why don’t I ever feel like I have it? Why am I never good enough? How do I stop the relentless, attacking voice in my head telling me I’ll never be pretty? This is the sound of the conversation I’ve had way too many times recently. […]
