There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. However, with that comes an internal pressure of “is what I’m posting “Catholic” enough?” or maybe on the other end where you ask “is what I’m posting TOO Catholic?” I know from experience that internal conflict is very real and can trigger shame for how much of our faith we share.
I scrolled through social media endlessly, including the oh-so infamous, TikTok. I found a solution to my boredom and decided to make a video, particularly about my unique (or so I thought) “type” I am attracted to. But the truth is that we are not meant to desire God’s plan because it makes us happy.
I felt hurt and betrayed by the Lord when I knew that He never relented, which left me even more confused and withdrawn. If He was perfect love, why was I angry with Him?
Art that focuses on darkness and even death can express evil, which takes different shapes to infiltrate it’s way into our lives — even in the name of art. Yet God has created us to encounter what is good, true, and beautiful.
But shocker… death has a beauty of its own.
A lot can happen in those 40 days, but usually, it goes a little something like this…
We’ve all had those moments. Moments where you stumble into the perfect opportunity to say something, to act, to crack a joke, or to express yourself. Nothing seems to be holding you back from seizing this opportunity, yet, you’re frozen. You feel trapped inside your head and your body becomes […]
