I was making some serious growth in overcoming this sin, and Jesus showed me nothing but a welcoming embrace each time I ran to His loving arms when falling, no matter how guilty and ashamed I felt.
I allowed hurt from my past to spill over well into my current life, and it was not healthy.
My advice to all you who are friends of guys or girls who have same-sex attraction is to simply love them. They need good same-gender friendship more than anything.
But as time has passed, I’ve found that I’m starting to look at guys less as eye-candy and more as a soul; a tabernacle for The Lord.
The grip of sin no longer had its heavy guilt weighing down on me anymore. My heart felt so free. That Confession was also the first time I came to admit out loud to anybody that I was attracted to guys.
