Then: Served summer 2010 at tepeyac!!!!!
Now: I am a sophomore at Texas A&M studying petroleum engineering, but more importantly, I am getting closer to the Lord through all of the amazing organizations that my campus ministry has to offer
Was it worth it? It was sooooo worth it. I would do it again for the rest of my life, every year, if that’s what God calls me to
Why should a college student apply to be a summer missionary at camp? A college student should apply for many reasons. First, it is an amazing time to really develop your relationship with Christ in prayer. Devoting your summer to Christ is a big commitment, and it is something that is rewarded in hundred folds. While at camp, you spend a lot of time finding out who you are in Christ, and what He might be calling you to do. Secondly, you meet some of the best brothers and sister in Christ ever! The relationships you make at camp will last a lifetime. Coming together with so many people with the same goal, to get to heaven, is such a blessing because you get to learn from them and also help them in their journey. If you want to grow deeper in love with the Lord, gain a deeper relationship with Him, and be a leader in your faith as well as a student, this is the thing for you. 4. I do still keep in contact with all of my summer staffers. It’s only been a few months since camp ended, but I know that as life goes on, I will still keep in contact with these amazing brothers and sister in Christ because they have made a tremendous impact on my life.
