Camp Covecrest 2011, Week 09 (Life Teen), Day 2

Day two at Covecrest was a fun-filled day. Teens started the day with Mass after some organized free time, celebrated by Fr. Joe Fitzgerald. After Mass it was time to get messy! Parishes spent the afternoon participating in messy games which included throwing water balloons, pouring oatmeal on each other and diving into the mud pit! Campers cleaned off to head to an evening session led by Randy Raus, this week’s host, on “Epic Rescue.” Following the session was a chance for everyone to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Camp Covecrest 2011, Week 08 (Life Teen), Day 2

Campers at Covecrest spent day two getting messy! The afternoon was filled with messy games complete with water slides, oatmeal and mud! After all the messy games, teens cleaned off for an evening session. Br. Paul Kostka, this week’s host, gave a talk on Reconciliation with Joseph Summers leading praise and worship. The evening concluded with a chance for campers to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Camp Covecrest 2011, Week 03 (Life Teen), Day 02

Camp Covecrest kicked off day two of “Epic Adventures” with some messy games! Teens enjoyed some friendly competition with water balloons, slides and mud! After wrestling in the mud pit, campers cleaned up to celebrate Mass with Fr. Chris Dunlap. Campers continued their “epic adventure” by diving into the sacrament of reconciliation. They also had a chance to reflect and journal.

Camp Covecrest 2011, Week 02 (Life Teen), Day 02

Teens started the second day of “Epic Adventures” with messy games! They got to slide down a giant mud slide, pour oatmeal on each other and hang out by the waterfall. After lunch, teens enjoyed some free time and then headed to Mass, celebrated by Fr. Paul Salemi. In the evening, the teens were able to go to reconciliation, pray in the chapel and journal.

Camp Covecrest 2011, Week 01 (Edge), Day 05

Edge students spent the last full day of camp with some free time to grow in fellowship and community. Some bonded over friendly games of soccer and volleyball while others spent the morning jamming out with their friends in the art barn. After a morning of friendly games, it was time to get messy one last time! Campers spent the afternoon competing in the “Gauntlet.” It was an afternoon filled with pudding, whiffle ball, slides and of course, mud!

2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 08 (Life Teen), Day 5

On Day 5 of Life Teen camp at Covecrest, campers enjoyed a session, small group time and then free time in the morning. In the afternoon, it was nothing but messy games. Campers got oatmeal mixtures poured in their faces, water dumped on their heads and mud all over in the mud pit, the grand finale of messy games day. Host Michael “Gomer” Gormley closed up the evening with a powerful session, followed by a time of Eucharistic Adoration with music led by MIkey Needleman. 2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 07 (Life Teen), Day 5

The final full day of week 7 camp at Covecrest was packed with organized free time in the morning, and then messy games and time in the mud pit in the afternoon. After campers got cleaned up at the waterfall and then took showers, Fr. Joe Pellegrino celebrated Mass. The evening session was a time of prayer and praise, concluded with a time of Eucharistic Adoration. “Behold the Mystery” was the week’s theme, with host Jimmy Mitchell and musicians of the group Marian Grace. 2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 06 (Life Teen), Day 5

Pictures are from the final full day of Week 6 at Camp Covecrest. Campers woke up to a morning session, followed by organized free time. Then after lunch, it was time for the much-anticipated messy games. These pictures capture the faces, the fun and the mess of the day — of course, concluded with time in the mud pit. Fr. 2010 Camp Rockyvine, Week02 (Edge), Day 5

The last full day of camp began with a skit, and Scripture. The middle of the day consisted of getting hot, sweaty, messy and muddy with flag tag, messy games, and the infamous mud pit. After getting cleaned up, the group attended Mass celebrated by guest priest Fr. Chris Dunlap. Walking out of the chapel, middle schoolers and chaperones were given their “Behold the Mystery” T-shirts and took their group photo. The night ended as all nights and weeks should end with prayer, praise and worship and Adoration.

Camp Rockyvine 2010, Week 01 (Life Teen), Day 5

The last full day of “Behold the Mystery” summer camp began with a session on the mystery of prayer. The teens and chaperones got their camp shirts and took the official camp picture but weren’t in the camp shirts for very long because the afternoon was full of messy games and mud! Host Joe Farris and musician Jackie Francois even took part in some of the activities! The day ended how all days should: with Adoration, a bonfire and s’mores.

On Day 5 of Week 5 at camp Covecrest, Campers started the morning with free time and moved into messy games, the mud pit, and the waterfall after lunch. After Mass and family dinner, the evening flowed into a powerful time of Adoration as host Kevin Hickey guided campers in prayer and musician Grae McCullough led praise and worship. The final day of Life Teen Covecrest camp, Week 2, was packed with messy games, a trip to the mud pit and waterfall, and an evening of worship, prayer and adoration.
