Advent calendars are up, Christmas decorations are all over and the first semester of school is winding down. 2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 08 (Life Teen), Day 2

Day 2 of Covecrest started with Life Teen-ers playing games to get clues for their Mission Adventure. The afternoon was all about free time, from soccer to tye-dying to ultimate frisbee. After family dinner, Fr. Tom Rafferty celebrated Mass in the amphitheater, and a short time of Adoration followed. 2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 08 (Life Teen), Day 1

The first day of Week 8 at Covecrest brought Life Teen campers together from all over the country — Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, and Wisconsin — to have a week to “Behold the Mystery.” But first thing’s first: Carnival games, cookout, and then the night obstacle course. 2010 Camp Covecrest, Week 07 (Life Teen), Day 1

Week 7 opened up at Covecrest with Life Teen parishes arriving in the afternoon, and getting right to business with a cookout for dinner and Carnival games to play before and after dinner. After the opening session, including the “Rules Skit,” campers ventured out to begin the night obstacle course in groups, protecting their chaperones who held water balloons. Camp Tepeyac 2010, Week 11 (Life Teen), Day 2

Day 2 at Camp Tepeyac with Life Teen students! The day was spent getting more settled in as a community, breaking up into groups for morning mission adventures, followed by Catholic Bible Study, praise and worship with Matt Miller, student-led prayer of the Rosary, Mass, and a Eucharist Procession through camp in the evening. In the afternoon the students had a BLAST during organized free time by tie dying shirts, making Rosaries, and playing games and sports.

Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 06 (Life Teen), Day 2

Life Teeners at camp Covecrest started off Day 2 of Week 6 with Mission Adventure, where they went in their small groups all over camp to find clues by playing games. The campers enjoyed free time in the afternoon, including ultimate frisbee, soccer, mountain biking and just hanging out on Mike’s Place porch. Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 05 (Edge), Day 2

These pictures are from the second day of Week 5 at Camp Covecrest. Campers spent the morning playing games for Mission Adventure, and after lunch had free time to play and partake in a multitude of games and other activities. Edge campers, chaperones and priests arrived at Covecrest on Day 1 of the fifth week of camp and wasted no time diving right into camp life. On Day 2 of the second week of camp, Life Teen-ers took part in a variety of games, from the Mystery Adventure activity to organized free time. Youth ministers and chaperones prayed over and washed their teens’ feet before concluding the day with Mass and a time of adoration. The second day of the first week of Edge camp at Covecrest was filled with a lot of reflection and small group time, along with organized free time (soccer, ultimate frisbee, four square, making bracelets and other activities). The campers, chaperones and staff were blessed to have three priests present at Mass in the evening.
