Camp New England 2011, Week 2 (Life Teen), Day 5

On their last full day of their Epic adventure, the teens were split once more into guy and girl sessions. The guys went on an adventure to find a hidden treasure, while the girls enjoyed some Adoration. In the afternoon, teens participated in an obstacle course called THE GAUNTLET! They had to work together as a team to get everyone to the finish line. In the evening, the teens had their session on Epic Life. To finish off their last night at camp, the teens celebrated mass, and there was a procession of the Blessed Sacrament.

Camp New England 2011, Week 2 (Life Teen), Day 4

On day four of their epic adventure, the teens were split into guys and girls again and had separate sessions on being Men and Women of God. After session, the teens travelled to the Fatima Shrine for a rosary walk and mass. The afternoon was casual, playing ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, and the much anticipated MESSY GAMES! That night there was a session on Epic Prayer, where the teens were given time to journal, and then spent an hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Camp New England 2011, Week 02 (Life Teen), Day 3

On Day 3 of their Epic Adventure, the teens were split into a guys group and a girls group. In the morning the guy’s had a session with Eric Porteous, while the girls went out onto the low ropes course. After their session, the guy’s had organized free time. In the afternoon, the girls had their session, lead by two missionaries, Carrie Bigley and Jilina Damin, and the guys went out on to the low ropes course. Mass was held just before dinner, and the teens then dove into a session called Epic Spirit. To finish off the evening, each teen experienced being prayed over by their youth minister and summer missionaries.

Camp New England 2011, Week 2 (Life Teen), Day 2

On day two of their Epic Adventure, teens ventured out to a High/Low ropes course. Teens were challenged to trust their fellow brothers and sisters in a series of team building exercises, and braved their fears on a series of High Ropes stations. Upon returning home, the teens had mass, and then were served dinner family-style with their parish. The session that night was called Epic Rescue. The evening was spent deep in prayer, and the teens were given the opportunity to go to Confession. The evening concluded with joyful praise and worship at a “No Sin Party!”

Camp New England 2011, Week 2 (Life Teen), Day 1

On the first day of Life Teen’s Epic Adventure, the teens arrived eager to jump into activities. Teens could take part in a number of games including GA GA, Can Jam, and Ninja as they waited for the first session to begin. After watching a few skits, teens took part in ice breakers, and then had their first dinner together. Eric Porteous lead the teens in their first session on Epic Love. The teens capped off the night with a Dragons vs Knights game called Survive Batania!

Camp New England 2011, Week 1 (Edge), Day 5

On the last full day of camp, the all girl Edge camp threw a “Princess Party,” and learned what it means to be a beautiful daughter of God. In the afternoon, the 2011 Camp New England Olympics were held! Four teams took part in different events that tested their strength and stamina. Mass was held in the afternoon, followed by dinner. That night, the teens had their final session with Katie Dunne. That night, there was a bonfire where all of the teens burned the obstacles that were preventing them from spreading their faith to the world. Ice cream was served just before bed to finish off their last night of camp.

Camp New England 2011, Week 1 (Edge), Day 4

On day four of Camp New England’s Xtreme Adventure, the teens started the day by learning how to make rosaries. From there, everyone participated in a rosary walk, followed by Mass outside. After lunch, the teens played capture the flag. Later in the day, groups of teens were lead through the low ropes course. Katie Dunne lead an evening session about how to become a saint, and the teens finished off the night with Adoration.

Camp New England 2011, Week 1 (Edge), Day 3

On day three of Xtreme Edge Camp, the teens went to a water park called Water Wizz! Upon returning home, the teens were served family style dinner by the male summer staff. They then jumped into a session with Katie Dunne. That night, all of the teens attended mass, followed by an outdoor procession with the Blessed Sacrament.

Camp New England 2011, Week 1 (Edge), Day 2

On the second day of camp, the teens jumped right into session with Katie Dunne. They were lead in praise and worship, and then dove into scripture. They were then allowed some organized free time where they could pick from a number of different sports to play. In the afternoon, teens took part in the well awaited MESSY GAMES! The teens then had to clean up and get ready for Mass. They were each given a bow so they could dress up for their Father. During the night session, the teens talked about Reconciliation, and were given a chance to go to Confession. They finished off the night with a bonfire and a No Sin Party!

Camp New England 2011, Week 1 (Edge), Day 1

Camp New England’s Xtreme Edge Camp began today! As teens were arriving, they played a fun game called Ninja. They later participated in Sunday Mass, followed by an ice breaker called “Elbow Tag.” As session began, the worship leader, Patrick Williams, lead the teens in praise. The teens then introduced themselves, lead by our host, Katie Dunne. To finish off the evening, everyone took part in a zombie game called “Survive Batania!”
