Camp Rockyvine 2010, Week 01 (Life Teen), Day 4

At 6:30 Thursday morning, campers and staff alike boarded school buses destined for tubing. The whole morning and a good part of the afternoon was spent relaxing on the river. Teens bonded while floating for 4 hours and also got a little sun. When teens returned to camp, they dove head-first into Mass and the session for the day focusing on the mystery of God’s mercy. Five priests were present to give the sacrament of reconciliation, a very important sign of God’s mercy. Jackie Francois, musician, gave her testimony and host Joe Farris wrapped up the night with the continued theme: “Behold the Mystery”.

Camp Rockyvine 2010, Week 01 (Life Teen), Day 3

Day three of “Behold the Mystery” Life Teen camp was full of fun and games and team-building activities such as low ropes, mountain boarding, paintball and flag tag. After playing in the sun all day, the teens and their chaperones learned of the mystery of Mother Mary and the of the saints. Joe Farris knew how to keep the teens’ attention with his stories and passion. Jackie Francois followed suit with her passionate voice and spirit during praise and worship and Mass.

“Life Teeners” began to “Behold the Mystery” with the help of host Joe Farris and musician Jackie Francois during the first week at Camp Rockyvine in Dutzow, Missouri. The photos follow the teens from getting off the buses and free time to the night obstacle course.

Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 02 (Life Teen), Day 4

The fourth day of Week 2 at Covecrest Life Teen summer camp was a beautiful day of campers participating in high and low ropes courses, while the other half of the camp went white water rafting for the day. The day ended with Mass, then a session and campers had the opportunity to go to Reconciliation. The theme is “Behold the Mystery,” with host Randy Raus and musician Ben Walther. [nggallery id=116]

Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 02 (Life Teen), Day 02

On Day 2 of the second week of camp, Life Teen-ers took part in a variety of games, from the Mystery Adventure activity to organized free time. Youth ministers and chaperones prayed over and washed their teens’ feet before concluding the day with Mass and a time of adoration. Camp Covecrest Week 2 (Life Teen), Day 01

The first day of Covecrest’s second week of summer camp welcomed Life Teen campers with a bright, sunny day. As the campers poured into camp, the staff held a cookout for dinner and the campers had a blast playing games at Carnival. Musician Ben Walther opened up the first session of the evening with praise and worship. The week’s host is Life Teen president Randy Raus, and the theme is “Behold the Mystery.” [nggallery id=114]

Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 01 (Edge), Day 04

For Day 4 of Edge week at Camp Covecrest, the second round of campers challenged themselves on the high and low ropes courses, while the first group went tubing and to the water park. Campers had Mass and a time of reflection and Reconciliation in the evening. Camp Covecrest 2010, Week 01 (Edge), Day 02

The second day of the first week of Edge camp at Covecrest was filled with a lot of reflection and small group time, along with organized free time (soccer, ultimate frisbee, four square, making bracelets and other activities). The campers, chaperones and staff were blessed to have three priests present at Mass in the evening.
