Mission Glasgow

IDENTITY CONFIRM…. Just receive an Intel about a missionary that will be off the grid of Atlanta for 168 hours. About over a year ago on October 2011, we believe a parish in the country of United State of America has adopted one of our Life Teen missionaries. Evidence have confirm that the youth minister of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Glasgow, Montana and the parish have adopted Life Teen missionary Vince Dao, born and Catechize in Southern California, as his mission partner. What does

God is Faithful (Part 2)

My missionary formation year at Covecrest (in Tiger, Georgia) was the greatest year of my life. And although I was hesitant to go because of my desire to only serve in Haiti, I can now say that full-time missions in Haiti would not be possible without the formation, healing, rhythm of prayer, and community that I received during my formation year. Waiting a whole year to see this desire become a reality allowed me to step back and see God’s faithfulness and involvement in every little detail

Trusting in God’s Promises

Do you ever question God or fail to trust Him completely? I wish I could say that I don’t, but even as a missionary, I’m still human, and I still question God sometimes… A little over a month ago, Life Teen started a new mission base in Houston, Texas, and I am one of five missionaries living and serving here. With a new mission base, there are sometimes more questions than answers and sometimes more things are unknown then things that are certain. I know that in this, God is calling me to trust

My Way or the Lord’s Way?

I wish the Lord would just come out and blatantly shout out to me what it is that He wants me to do. I’m sure I’m not the only one that would really appreciate something like that. Coming into this mission year here at Covecrest, I was thinking that it was going to be a one-year commitment for sure, but I wouldn’t totally shut the Lord out if He had other plans for me. Sure enough, you give Him a little space to work with and He will start constructing something the size of the Empire State

Does Ketchup Make an Elephant Taste Better?

By: Chuck Taylor Okay, we’ve heard this before, right? “How do you eat an elephant?” “One bite at a time” is the age-old answer. It is this rather worn out illustration, though, that has been my view of Life Teen Mission –Germany. This coming Wednesday will mark only our first month in Germany, yet I find myself already looking for some fruit to come from our efforts so far. Is it too early to look for results? Maybe, if I am looking for the German people to repent like the biblical Ninevites

An Invitation To Serve: Life Teen Ghana Mission 2012

2012-04_LT-Ghana

“They left everything and followed Him.” Luke 5:11 The first time we went to Ghana, I met a young girl named Rosemary. She was very shy at first and kept her distance. When she would see us come back each day from the village, she would sheepishly wave and then run back to her house. Her little brother Broda on the other hand, was quite the opposite and would throw himself into our arms each time he saw us. Whenever we would try to talk to Rosemary, she would just smile and hide her

One Church

I believe in the Catholic Church. I believe it what it means to be truly “catholic”.  In fact, as I say every week in Mass, I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I don’t think I ever really understood what it meant for the Church to be one until I went on foreign mission. The first time I went to Mass in another country was on mission in Ghana last summer. The liturgy was beautifully influenced by the culture of the Ghanaian people. Far from a pipe organ and a 70-year-old cantor,

Come Together – Haiti Mission 2011!

Two weeks ago, I went on a mission trip to Haiti with thirteen other missionaries, most of whom I live with here at Covecrest. It was an incredibly blessed trip from start to finish! As I started writing this blog, I was listening to a song written by Michael W. Smith shortly after the earthquake last January. It’s called “Come Together Now,” and there are a few lines that really describe the great things God did during our week in Haiti… “Say a prayer that change will come…” We landed in Port

THIRST FOR CHANGE

WATER2

As the Global Life Night, THIRST FOR CHANGE, is on-going it got me thinking about how amazing it is that just about everywhere we go in America, in every public place, we have FREE drinkable water available to us. Whether it is out of a faucet or a drinking fountain, the fact of the matter is we can drink it if we were thirsty and we never really have to worry about getting sick.  Not only that, but we have a variety of other beverages at our fingertips, the difference though is that the other beverages
