I just want some food…

For Easter, I went to Seattle  to spend time with a friend. Washington is an incredibly beautiful state with delicious fruits and vegetables; perfect for someone like me with tons of food allergies! We didn’t have a car so we walked everywhere and soaked up the fresh mountain air; it was absolutely amazing! During the few days I was there, the Lord provided us with many Divine Appointments. I will share the different experiences in separate blogs. The first occurred when my friend and

Poverty…

“Where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy” (excerpt from the Prayer of St. Francis). After a 6 hour missionary van ride, we safely arrived home from L.A. Congress. We have traveled more this month than we have so far this year. We started the month of March by attending the staff retreat at Camp Covecrest. We then had a week to plan and lead a mission/retreat to the Salt River Pima Maricopa Reservation. One day

Mission

We just got back from leading a four day mision with the St. Tim’s teens on the Salt River Pima Marcopa Reservation. Back in September, I was asked to lead this mission because I grew up, as Sr. Clissene would say, in “Native Country.” Throughout my childhood, the Native People have taught me so much. They taught me to see the sacred in nature and to dive deeper into the spiritual life. They helped me to understand that the Father wants to be in relationship with us. They taught me to listen

Family!!!

This past weekend, everyone from Life Teen gathered at Camp Covecrest for a staff retreat. Our whole mission family was located at the same place-INCREDIBLE GOODNESS!!!! There was so much love, joy, and hope. My heart was struck deeply by being back with our family; our mission is to love and receive love. I realized that the only thing I need in life is the Lord and the love that I experienced this past weekend. Over the past couple of days, I gained a new desire to be even more united to the

Emerging from the Silence; God is HERE!

We recently got home from our 8-Day Silent Retreat. I want to thank each of you who prayed for us. It was a very intense and life changing experience. As one of our retreat directors, Br. John, would say God is HERE, God wants YOU, and God has MORE. God’s Word is soooo alive! God is soooo alive! And, God Is Here; we just might neglect to see it sometimes. The things that the Lord did in my heart over the course of our eight days in solitude blew me away. I have never spent so much time alone

Lord, Make Me An Instrument of Your Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal

Bikehgoihinan (The ONE with whom all good things come)!!!

Greetings my brothers and sisters! So, God is glorious! My heart has felt like it has been in a waiting period with much dryness lately. However, yesterday, the Lord filled it with wells of riches! My missionary brothers and sisters and I had the opportunity to go to the Salt River Pima Maricopa Reservation. As many of you know, I grew up 3 minutes off of the White Mountain Apache rez in Pinetop, AZ. The rez is a place that I hold very close to my heart. I have been troubled as I have witnessed

Humble Confidence and Love

For the past few weeks, in formation, we have been reading the study edition of St. Therese’s, “Story of A Soul.” As I was praying through her writing, the themes of confidence, love, and humility spoke to my heart. She was incredibly humble, in a very pure and holy sense. She also knew God and was completely confident in HIM and in receiving HIS love. St. Therese speaks of a time in which she and her family went to visit Rome to ask for the Pontiff’s permission to join the Carmelite Convent at the

Holy Spirit, Fire Fall, Sing in Us!

Hello my brothers and sisters! God is beautiful! So, I was pondering what I should share with you in this week’s blog.  I was speaking with a good friend of mine, Christina, and asked her what I should blog about. She asked me what the best thing was that happened over the past two days. Today is Friday. On Wednesday, I spent much of the day cleaning mouse droppings and toilets-it wasn’t too exciting or worth writing a blog about (as a diclaimer, note that this was not in our home, it was at a
