This is it. This is life. You are living!
Right this second.
You are living! Do you realize it? Do you really realize it?
This is it.
We are so busy every minute. Every second there is something to do: work, school, homework. But we also are busy with the I-phone, Facebook, movies, etc. Every second is filled, and when we find some time to rest, we worry about all the stuff we have to do; or we think about something that happened in the past and let it grab ahold of us. We worry about tomorrow and we regret the past, all while our lives are ticking away. We go through our lives without really living in the moment; without ever being still enough to focus on the present. Days go by, months go by, and before you know it, another year is over.
We get so caught up by “life” that we forget to really, really live. We forget to really love this moment and just be, instead of doing a million things. It’s hard, I know. But God wants us to stand still for a moment. To realize His love, to realize the life He gave to us! To be still and be with Him.
One pure, quiet second with Him is a million times better than a whole year rushing through everyday of our lives.
He wants us to be filled with His love. He wants us to live our lives to the fullest; to be aware of His presence and love. Today is a gift, a present. We should take it. The One who gave us this gift, wants to enjoy this gift, this present, with us.
“Be still… and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
He fills us with so much love and hope. Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life!” (John 14: 6). Only in Him do we find true love and life. What a gift! What a blessing He wants to give to us! Be…be for just a moment. Be a human being, not a human doing. Be in His love and find the most precious gift that ever existed.
There is always something that has to be done. But all that pressure and all those chains are keeping us away from God. All the things we have to do, we should just give it all to Him. And if we are with Him, He will show us what is really important, He will show us great treasures. They are things that really make a difference; they will last an eternity. He only wants us to rest and be with Him…and through this, He will show us the rest…
Let go and let God.
