God Chose YOU

The first week of our mission year at Covecrest began with a very blessed time spent diving into God’s love for us. Have you ever thought about the fact that God CHOSE to create you? I’ve heard a lot about God creating Adam and Eve – creating men and women in His image, but I don’t think I had ever thought about it in a personal, individual way until a few weeks ago. God didn’t have to create me. He didn’t need me, but He wanted me. God chose to create me. He chose every single detail of my being: all my likes and dislikes, all my characteristics; everything. God created me because He wants me.  He wants to be in relationship with me and with every person He has created. How awesome is that? God chose all of us, and He loves us so much that He is constantly calling us closer to Him, into deeper relationship with Him. Praise God that His love is so great!

Thank you, Lord, for your amazing love, for wanting me, for choosing me, for desiring to have a relationship with me. Help me to always seek you, as you are always seeking me.

I was born and raised in Southern California, and I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2009. I went on my first mission trip my junior year of college and have continued to fall in love with mission ever since. I spent the last two years serving as a missionary at Life Teen Camp Covecrest in Tiger, GA, and now I'm serving at Life Teen's Houston mission base. I am continually in awe of God’s love and faithfulness! You can email me at [email protected] or follow me on Twitter @LT_JessicaL.
