Lead Me to the Cross

This past Sunday I was sitting in mass and “Lead me to the Cross” by Brook Fraser was the mediation song after Communion. I really like this song so I was excited to be singing it but since its Lent, the song hit me in a whole new way. The lyrics of the refrain especially stuck out to me it says:

“Lead me to the cross, where Your love poured out, bring me to my knees Lord I lay me down, rid me of myself I belong to You, Lead me, lead me to the cross”

I’m just realizing that Easter is a week and a half away and that Lent is almost over. I was praying and realizing that I want this to me my prayer for the rest of Lent but really my everyday prayer. I want Jesus to lead me to His cross, so that I can better unite myself with Him. I pray that the Lord can bring me to my knees and that I surrender everything to Him. I want to be emptied of myself and all that I am, so that I totally belong to Christ. But I know I don’t always have the strength to do all this and so I must ask the Lord everyday “Lead me to the Cross”.

I pray that in this last part of Lent that we can all really unite ourselves to Christ and join into His Passion

Also, I would love to hear from you and how life is going if you need any prayers or anything, just email me at [email protected]

God Bless!! Keep the Joy!
