What’s the Life Teen Summer Prayer Challenge? Find out here.
Here we are at week 7 of the Life Teen Summer Prayer Challenge! This week’s challenge is: Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day this week.
Now don’t worry, this chaplet is short and only takes a couple minutes. But gosh it’s so powerful.
Jesus appeared to St. Faustina in Poland back in 1931. He revealed this beautiful prayer to her and His longing to pour His mercy out upon all His children. Here’s what Jesus said:
“Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy. Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will.”
You can pray the chaplet at any time, but 3 o’clock is called the “hour of mercy” because that’s the hour that Christ died on the cross. Here’s something else Jesus said to St. Faustina.
“At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.”
Isn’t that incredible? I sincerely hope you are able to make this chaplet a permanent part of your prayer life, even after this week. Here’s a link with instructions on how to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
We’re praying for you.
