Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend Life Teen Steubenville Atlanta?

Incoming high school freshman and graduated high school seniors. All chaperones, must be over 21 years old or in line with your diocesan policy. If you are between 18-21, you may attend the conference as a small group leader with your group and NOT a chaperone.

How can I volunteer?

We are always in need of additional volunteers to make Steubenville Atlanta a success. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator: Julie Brown at this email address.

Where will we stay?

Housing will be in hotels within five miles of Gwinnett Center. Length of the conference Friday, July 19 – Sunday, July 21, 2013.

What if a priest is accompanying my group?

Life Teen Steubenville Atlanta highly encourages priest participation. Priests are a wonderful witness and their presence helps young people consider this great vocation. We are greatly in need of priests during the conference to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Remember their registration fee is free and that a Priest Information form is required.

How do I register?

We are here to make registration easy! Click on the registration page to get started. You will reserve your spots online this year and receive confirmation through email. For more detailed registration procedures, click on the registration page. As always, contact us at 404-252-8815 with any questions you may have.

How many adults need to come?

The guidelines from the Archdiocese of Atlanta require 1 adult chaperone per 8 teenagers. No teenagers will be allowed to drive to or from the conference site.

Can group leaders and adult chaperones bring infants and children?

Although we strongly support Catholic family life, our staffing, facility constraints, and insurance regulations do not allow us to provide childcare. Meeting rooms and residence halls are not designed for the care of young children. In addition, the focus of the Adult Chaperones/Group Leader need to be on the youth participants. If these adults bring their own children, their focus will be split. With the best care of the youth in mind, this is not allowed.

What about the bus driver?

Other housing arrangements must be made for bus drivers. Remember to mention Steubenville Atlanta/Life Teen at your hotel.

What if my teen has a disability or a food allergy?

Please inform Karen Devine in the registration office as soon as possible of any special disability needs an individual in your group may have. For example, we can arrange to have an interpreter for someone who is hearing impaired during parts of the conference or have special meals prepared. We need to know this in advance, however, in order to do our best to accommodate your specific needs.

Do you have scholarship money available?

We do have a limited amount of scholarship money available. To apply for these funds, contact Martha Gaynoe, the Regional Coordinator of this conference.
