Location: Kernersville, NC
School seeks well-prepared professional. Specific subject assignment within the theology curriculum will be determined by teacher qualifications and school needs in given school year. Secondary teaching experience preferred. Must be a practicing Catholic and have an appropriate degree (Master’s or equivalent) from an accredited Catholic institution and catechist certification or comparable licensure in subject area.

Goals and Objectives
In fulfilling its mission, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is dedicated to:

b. integrating Christian practices and principles into the entire school experience with a special focus upon a comprehension, understanding and appreciation of Roman Catholic doctrine, heritage, traditions, prayer, and values;
c. providing an education of the highest quality which will promote in each individual 1) the development of personal values consistent with Roman Catholic teaching and an appropriate sense of responsibility and accountability; and 2) a willingness to recognize, accept, respect, and develop one’s own gifts and those of others;
d. developing and implementing instructional programs and an environment which will nurture a love of learning and promote effective critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills;
e. exposing students to cultural, aesthetic, and extra-curricular experiences which will inspire the creative and productive use of leisure time;
f. preparing students to embrace maturely and with confidence the roles to which they have been called in adult society;
g. educating all students without regard to race, color, sex, or creed, fostering respect for individual differences and promoting a better understanding of justice, peace, and the love of
God for all people;
h. encouraging the interest and participation of parents in their roles as educators in the formal and informal training of their children;
i. promoting initiative, creative, and innovation among teachers in implementing the goals of Catholic education.
