St. John Bosco Academy exists to support families in the endeavor of educating their children, but also to provide a community where families can share two common loves: love of the Catholic faith and love of family. The hybrid system of education emerges as an exceptional option for families by the serving the heart, the mind, and the home. Students in Grades PK4-8 are on campus 2 days a week, with the additional 3 days of study and reinforcement at home. Students in Grades 9-12 are on campus 3 days a week, with the additional 2 days of study at home. The SJBA hybrid system maximizes the time the family can spend together and still enables SJBA students have more time to enjoy the added benefits of community life that a school setting offers.
At St. John Bosco Academy, we value parents as the first and most essential teachers of their children. We believe as the Church teaches, that the family is “the vital cell” of society, and that rebuilding the culture to a civilization of love and life must begin precisely where the breakdown began: in the family.
The curriculum in the high school is classical in nature and focuses on developing the whole person by elevating the soul toward God through our Catholic faith and rigorous academic pursuits. To this end, students take a wide variety of courses where all subject areas are intertwined in an effort for students to become fully aware of the interconnectedness of faith, reason, history, and logic. Students take a full course load culminating in upper level math, science, history, literature, composition and rhetoric, theology, latin, and performing arts. Both the study of Latin and the Performing Arts are compulsory at the high school level at SJBA as well as a deep study of our Catholic faith.
Interested candidates should submit cover letter and resume to Vivian Ferrari at firstname.lastname@example.org
