In August of 2016, the state of Louisiana had roughly 7 trillion gallons of water rain down in the span of one week. One area saw more than 2 1/2 feet of rain in less than a day. The flooding caused an estimated $8.7 billion in damages, and more than 100,000 homes were damaged in this natural disaster. Rebuild efforts are still ongoing in 2017, and people in numerous parishes of Louisiana are still desperately in need of help.
Join us for the first-ever Life Teen Restore Mission Camp in Lafayette, Louisiana. As missionary disciples with Life Teen Summer Camps, our hope is to help rebuild communities and restore hope to Louisiana communities through meaningful and productive work projects. From major rebuilds to minor repair projects, we’ll have tasks led by competent local contractors to fit all skill levels.
In addition to the work and evangelization, Restore Mission Camps include daily Mass, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration, and other powerful prayer experiences. Our morning prayer experiences will send your teens out to serve and evangelize with Christ’s heart. Our evening sessions, led by a dynamic speaker, priests, and worship leader will break open scriptural topics to strengthen your teens discipleship relationships with one another and with the Lord.
Any incoming high school freshman (Class of 2021) to graduated high school seniors (Class of 2017). Teens need not be Catholic to attend Life Teen Restore Mission Camps.
Chaperones must come in a 1-to-8 ratio and be gender-specific (1 adult female for every 8 female campers and 1 adult male for every 8 male campers).
