When I was in high school I thought the Catholic Church was glamorous--all those reliquaries, all the art and incense and swoony sin--but evil. So I was as shocked as anybody when I met Catholics who shared their faith with me, and I started falling in love with their Church. Nowadays I see the less-glamorous, workaday aspects of Catholic life, but I'll always love the sculptures and the skulls. Last year my book came out, "Gay and Catholic: Accepting My Sexuality, Finding Community, Living My Faith," and I blog at http://www.patheos.com/blogs/evetushnet/ . I love cats, but am allergic to them; I love to watch figure skating, but have at least two left feet.
