As you will notice on the websites, it is Annual Appeal time at Life Teen. The theme we have chosen the appeal this year is, “Vocations Start Here.”
We live in a loud and fast paced world. God longs to speak to each one of us, but how can we hear Him amidst the noise and demands of our culture? For over 27 years, the Life Teen Movement has been committed to evangelizing youth and helping them hear God’s call. We humbly invite you to take part in our mission where vocations begin.
Seminarian Ryan Cubera from Hudson, OH said this when he was being ordained a Deacon just a few weeks ago, “Why wear a Life Teen shirt on my ordination day? Through them the Father ignites my heart, nurtures my vocation, and furthers my salvation.”
What is the Annual Appeal, and why is it important?
The Annual Appeal is a time in November and December of each year that Life Teen raises money to help support all of the different ministries of the organization. Because we are a non-profit organization, there are many costs associated with the different services we provide teens, youth ministers, Priests, Seminarians, Core members, and everyone else that has experienced a Life Teen event. Life Teen is dependent on the generosity of others to help us continue our mission of leading teens closer to Christ.
We believe that we are on a mission, and by giving to Life Teen you are joining us on that mission and you become instrumental in providing these environments where future vocations begin.
How can I help?
First, we ask you to pray in thanksgiving for the blessings the Lord has given you and about how you can use those blessings to change lives through Life Teen. This is an exciting time because all donations up to $130,000 during November and December will be DOUBLED because of generous donors who believe in this movement, and want to inspire everyone to join together and support these teenagers.
Here are 3 ways that you can help:
- Donate to Life Teen.
If you feel called, you can go online to donate any amount one time to Life Teen. You can also sign up to give monthly and become a part of our “Communion of Saints” giving program. Just think, donating $20 a month (2 times eating out) could help send a teen to camp for the first time! lifeteen.com/donate - Donate your Facebook or Twitter Status.
You can let other people know about Life Teen and how it has impacted your life by posting about our Annual Appeal on your Facebook or Twitter account. Even if you cannot give, asking other people to consider giving could be the encouragement they need to really make a difference. For the first time ever, we have a new exciting way you can help support Life Teen. You can now create your very own online fundraising page. You just sign up for an account, set any goal for yourself that you would like to fundraise, and then post about it online to let other people know about it. This would be a really cool way for you to witness to others and show how important this “movement” has been in your life. lifeteen.com/donate
If you help out Life Teen by creating your own page, you will get a nice gift from us in the mail, and whoever manages to raise the MOST money in November and December will get a special prize at the end of the Appeal.
